New spaces for community and learning at International School of Billund
International School of Billund has expanded its campus with new spaces for everyday school life and continued development. Holmris B8 has been responsible for the interior design of several central areas across the school, including the shared area for Middle School, administration, meeting rooms, teacher workrooms and the large canteen area. With the expansion, the school now covers approximately 20,000 m² and will eventually have capacity for up to 750 students.
The new facilities are furnished with a focus on functionality, durability and an inviting atmosphere that supports well-being and learning in everyday life. The interior has a bright and harmonious expression, where visible timber structures, acoustic panels and robust materials create a warm and calm overall feel. In the shared areas, niches, lounge zones and flexible workspaces give students the opportunity to gather, focus or take a break in inspiring surroundings outside the classroom. Overall, the new areas contribute to an everyday school life with room for community, concentration and the many activities that characterise a vibrant learning environment.
Holmris B8 has supplied furniture for the International School of Billund and furnished central areas across the school campus.
