Holmris B8 welcomes Annelise Sommer as new CEO

Holmris B8 has appointed Annelise Sommer as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 February 2027. She brings more than 25 years of experience in commercial leadership, business transformation, and international growth. The appointment marks the next step in strengthening the company’s executive management team and supporting its continued development across Northern Europe.

Annelise Sommer joins Holmris B8 from her position as CEO of Umove, Denmark’s leading pioneer in zero-emission public transport. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions at companies including DEAS and ISS. She has led businesses owned by private equity and infrastructure investors.

Her experience spans both Danish and international markets, with a strong focus on driving growth, developing organizations, and leading businesses through change.

A shared ambition for the future

For Annelise Sommer, the opportunity to lead Holmris B8 combines her experience in commercial leadership with a company that has a strong market position, a distinct identity, and significant opportunities for further growth.

“I’m really looking forward to joining Holmris B8. It’s a company with a strong foundation, great customers and partners, and clear ambitions for the future. What particularly attracted me was the combination of creativity, commercial drive, and the people behind the business. At Umove I saw how sustainability becomes a commercial advantage, and I see real potential in combining Holmris B8’s design with a circular offering,” says Annelise Sommer.

Building on a strong foundation

The appointment is part of a planned development of Holmris B8’s executive management team. Flemming Windfeld, the company’s current CEO, will continue as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), while Anders Matthiesen, who joined as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in December 2025, will remain responsible for operations.

Together, the three will form the executive management team, combining strong commercial, financial, and operational expertise to support Holmris B8’s existing strategy and future ambitions.

“We are very pleased to welcome Annelise to Holmris B8. She brings an impressive track record of growing businesses, developing strong teams, and turning ambitious strategies into results. Just as importantly, she has a leadership style built on openness, transparency, and bringing people together. We see a great match between Annelise and Holmris B8,” says Peter Johansen, Chairman of the Board of Holmris B8 and representative of majority shareholder Mentha.

“This is a natural next step for Holmris B8. We’ve spent the past years building a stronger leadership team, and with Flemming continuing as CFO and Anders as COO, we have a great combination of experience and skills. Annelise will lead the next phase of our development, building on our strong position in Northern Europe and driving our ambitions for continued growth,” he adds.

“This is a step we have planned together with the board. Annelise brings the commercial leadership Holmris B8 needs for the next phase, and I look forward to working with her as CFO,” says Flemming Windfeld.

Flemming Windfeld will lead the transition over the coming months to ensure a smooth handover and continuity for employees, customers, and partners.
