Technical Education Copenhagen, Campus Ballerup

Contemporary learning environments at TEC Campus Ballerup

Campus Ballerup on Guldblommevej provides the setting for a modern and cohesive learning environment for TEC’s technical education programmes. Accommodating more than 600 students and 70 educators, the campus is designed with a focus on both functionality and flexibility, ranging from specialised workshops and laboratories to open common areas and informal meeting spaces.

Raw materials, exposed installations and warm wooden surfaces create an honest and robust aesthetic that reflects the building’s technical character. At the same time, textiles, greenery and more secluded zones introduce a calm and inviting atmosphere, allowing space for focus and breaks throughout the day.

Flexible teaching spaces and workshop environments are designed to support both hands-on learning and collaboration, while the central canteen and lounge areas act as natural gathering points across disciplines. Here, students and educators meet in an open setting where daylight flows through large windows, connecting the different spaces.

The project was developed in close collaboration with TEC, based on user needs and within the framework of the SKI agreement. Holmris B8 delivered all loose furniture.
