Brønderslev Church

Innovating the church house

Brønderslev church from 1922, which is one of the two churches in Brønderslev, Northern Denmark, has gone through significant interior renovations of its church house.

In collaboration with the architecture firm Bundgaard ApS, HOLMRIS B8 has taken part in creating a flexible church house that oozes of openness and lightness.

Since the church house must host many different events, such as concerts, it was important to decorate with flexible furniture. For this purpose, the church chose to replace the traditional church benches with a lighter, more contemporary, and flexible alternative in the form of Carl Hansen’s CH23 chairs.

It was essential that the chairs were attachable, so they can stand in rows. To accommodate this wish, Carl Hansen developed a new attachment system for the 277 Carl Hansen CH23 chairs that HOLMRIS B8 delivered.
