Holistic design where functionality meets community
Holmris B8 has collaborated with UNITY on a wide range of projects, all driven by a shared ambition to create spaces that inspire, connect, and adapt to the way we live and work today.
UNITY is an innovative concept that combines living, working, and community in one holistic framework. With a strong focus on responsibility, design, and functionality, they create environments where people feel both at home and part of something greater.
The design concept is developed by Tom Dixon’s studio, Design Research Studio. In collaboration with architect Karin Hvidt Kastholm and the client Aberdeen, Holmris B8 has been responsible for design development, budgeting, planning, coordination, and implementation, as well as serving as total supplier of all furniture and loose inventory.
On the vision behind UNITY, Tom Dixon states:
“A key element in our thinking is that the future is going to have to become more cooperative. For us to be able to achieve higher specifications, sharing becomes the solution. UNITY is a step towards addressing some of these fundamental issues or capturing the opportunity to re-think affordable housing with top quality services, space planning and community building.”
UNITY Aarhus
In the LaTour building in Aarhus, UNITY Aarhus combines the rental of fully furnished apartments with co-working and hybrid workspaces. Companies can lease optimally designed office spaces with access to catering, printing facilities, and meeting rooms.
UNITY Hammarby Sjöstad
In Stockholm’s Hammarby Sjöstad, a former turbine hall has been transformed into UNITY Hammarby Sjöstad. An office hotel that merges raw industrial surroundings with modern design. Here you will find co-working & studio apartments.
UNITY Helsinki
Located in the vibrant Jätkäsaari district of Helsinki, UNITY Helsinki is an office hotel where co-living, co-working, and community merge in modern surroundings. It creates a flexible environment that accommodates both work and everyday life.
UNITY Malmö
In central Malmö, you will find UNITY Malmö, where residents and users can combine daily life with 24-hour fitness, lounge areas, a café, and co-working through uWork. The fully furnished studio apartments are designed with a focus on flexibility and urban community.
UNITY Tampere
In the historic Pyynikki Trikootehdas factory, UNITY Tampere has been established with 148 fully furnished studio apartments. The project combines industrial heritage with modern lifestyle and offers co-working, a sauna, rooftop terrace, café, and wellness facilities.
UNITY Kista Campus
Located in Stockholm’s technology hub Kista, UNITY Kista Campus offers 357 fully furnished student apartments. The focus here is on community and flexibility, with access to study areas, lounges, rooftop terraces, fitness, and co-working zones.
