Modernisation of DTU’s Classic Laboratory Building
With the complete renovation of DTU’s special building 208, students and faculty have gained a state-of-the-art learning environment with flexible classrooms, laboratories, and shared spaces that support both traditional teaching and more informal study activities. The bright wooden ceilings, yellow walls, and transparent partitions create an open and inviting atmosphere where natural light flows freely throughout the building.
The transformation combines respect for the building’s original architecture with today’s focus on well-being, functionality, and quality, and is the first project ever to receive DGNB Diamond, DGNB Platinum, and DGNB Heart certifications.
The project was developed in close collaboration with AART Architects. Holmris B8 supplied all loose furniture except the modular sofas and laboratory fittings. See the photos below for an impression of the new, vibrant learning environment at DTU.
