Collaboration and innovation at Olam Food Ingredients
When Olam Food Ingredients (OFI) relocated from its production facilities in the Zaan region to The Joan, an office building in Amsterdam, the company wanted a workplace that would support a more flexible way of working while bringing employees together in welcoming surroundings.
Designed by CBRE, the new office combines industrial features, such as exposed pipes, with natural elements, warm lighting, greenery, and modern furniture. Our Dutch colleagues at BigBrands, part of Holmris B8 Group, were responsible for the complete interior fit-out and project execution, bringing the design concept to life and creating a workplace that supports OFI’s hybrid working strategy.
A central feature of the office is the Customer Solutions Center, a dedicated space for innovation and collaboration. Throughout the workplace, the combination of materials, furniture, and different settings creates an inviting atmosphere, with room for both focused work and interaction.
