Veidekke, Oslo

A new headquarters with a strong focus on reuse, functionality and culture

Veidekke is Norway’s largest construction company and a significant player across Scandinavia. When the organisation brought its employees together in a new headquarters in Oslo, Metropolis and Holmris B8 were selected to create an environment that supports everyday work while reflecting a company driven by energy and deep roots in the building industry.

Holmris B8 delivered all loose furniture along with a number of bespoke solutions for workstations, meeting rooms, and open communal areas, for the 450 employees. A key aspect of the project was to create vibrant zones where employees can work in focused settings, meet spontaneously, or take time for informal conversations and breaks – all within an interior that ties the building together and gives it a strong, cohesive identity.

Sustainability played an important role. A large part of Veidekke’s existing furniture was reused, and several elements were upcycled – including shelving and sit-stand frames that were fitted with new materials and given a refreshed expression. This created a balance between new and existing elements, where quality and responsibility go hand in hand.

Holmris B8 also managed the full relocation process. The move of reused furniture, equipment and boxes from the previous location to the new headquarters was coordinated to ensure that Veidekke could settle in without disruptions.

Veidekke moved in in January 2025 – resulting in a modern, flexible and unified headquarters that supports collaboration, professional focus and the ways of working of the future.
