Wood is a major component in newly produced furniture and a limited resource. That is why Holmris B8 offers you, as a customer, the opportunity to replant trees when you purchase furniture through us. The initiative is in collaboration with the Growing Trees Network , where protected public forests are planted throughout Denmark.
How You Contribute – Plant Five Trees per Employee
When you purchase new furniture through us, you can choose to contribute DKK 100 per employee.
This amount covers the planting of five trees, which, through the Growing Trees Network, we ensure are planted and maintained in newly established public forests. These forests will be protected, meaning the trees may not be felled in the future and will serve as permanent green spaces.
Tree Planting Supports Both Climate and Environment
By planting trees, we help capture CO₂ from the atmosphere over time, which is stored as carbon in the trees. According to the Growing Trees Foundation, a single tree can absorb approximately 150–250 kg of CO₂ over 30 years, depending on species and growing conditions.
When you, as a customer, choose to contribute through Furnitree, you are entering a partnership with Holmris B8 to create new green areas, helping shoulder the responsibility of securing future forests.
