The Ray chair is designed by Hans Thyge & Co. in close collaboration with Simon Dennehy from Perch Studio in Dublin.
The Ray concept and the chair’s design are based on Simon Dennehys PhD. thesis on ergonomic school furniture.
The Ray series represents the future of school furniture and supports active learning and contributes to an entrepreneurial learning environment.
The backrest on the chair is molded in glass-filled nylon and the seat consists of a special type of plastic that is very light and withstands many deflections. This provides a robust and flexible yet very light chair, which even children can move around. All this together, makes the Ray chair the perfect educational chair.
