Hotel SKT. Annæ

The hotel’s history is echoed by its atmosphere and colours

Welcome to Hotel SKT. Annæ – a new boutique hotel brimming with history in the heart of Copenhagen.

Hotel SKT. Annæ, formerly known as Hotel Neptun, was built in the 1700s, but has undergone comprehensive renovations, most recently in 2016 and 2017. Today, guests are welcomed by a modern boutique hotel featuring design, furnishings and décor carefully selected and composed by design-duo SPACE Copenhagen and supplied by HOLMRIS B8.

Modern Copenhagen style
All 147 rooms are newly renovated with their own individual interiors, featuring furniture and décor with a modern Copenhagen feel: Classic, highly tactile design based on genuine, rich Scandinavian materials.

Everything has been chosen with care to retain the hotel’s spirit and historic charm, and the vision is to create the sense of experiencing Copenhagen from the inside. The atmosphere you step into calls to mind the old Copenhagen back courtyards – full of life and ambience.

The colours have therefore been carefully selected in hues inspired by Danish painter Vilhelm Hammershøi. He was known for his works in muted tones of black, white and brown in a nuanced and well-balanced style. Hammershøi was recognised the world over for his poetic paintings that captured the spirit of Copenhagen, the city of his birth. It is this atmosphere that is embraced by the interior design of the rooms.

The refurbished Hotel SKT. Annæ has successfully retained its original charm and architectural qualities while at the same time bringing it up to date to meet the needs of today’s tourists.
